Flag Football

The Elk River Parks and Recreation NFL Flag Football League, in collaboration with the Elk River Youth Football Association (ERYFA), offers a non-contact, recreational football experience for boys and girls of all skill levels.

This co-ed league is part of the official NFL Flag program, the largest youth flag football organization in the U.S., and is designed to teach the fundamentals of football in a safe and inclusive environment. Players receive a team jersey featuring official NFL team logos, and games are coached by parent volunteers who emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork, and player development.

Program Highlights

  • Open to boys and girls in grades PreK - 8th Grade
  • Weekly 30-minute practice before each game
  • No experience necessary - great for beginners and returning players alike
  • All participants receive an official NFL Flag reversible jersey and flag belt
  • Focus on skill-building, positive coaching, and having fun!

Off Season Training

We are thrilled to announce that ERYFA is bringing you the best in elite offseason training! This year, we are proud to partner with N1 Motion to host three exclusive Performance Training Camps — Winter, Spring, and Summer — designed specifically for Elk River Youth Football athletes in grades 2–8 (2025/26 school year).

These camps are open to all positions and offer a rare opportunity to train like a pro, sharpen skills, and build confidence before the 2026 season kicks off.

Coaches Clinics

We’re thrilled to announce that ERYFA will be hosting exclusive offseason coaching clinics designed to help our coaches sharpen their skills, learn new strategies, and connect with fellow coaches. Each session runs from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with locations to be announced soon. Our Mission

The Elk River Youth Football Association (ERYFA) is volunteer run organization dedicated to offering young people in grades 2nd through 8th an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of tackle football, the value of teamwork and to have fun doing it.  Our program has been designed to contribute to the development of the players through:

  • Understanding that the character a person needs to be the same on and off the football field

We are committed to ensuring a positive youth tackle football experience and advancing player safety each year by providing league-wide coaching education and teaching resources that benefit players, parents and coaches.

Our Philosophy
